On this course I will guide you through the process of cleaving fresh green Ash felled in our own woodland, and using it to make all the components of the chair. We will use traditional hand tools to shape and finish the components, steam bend them over the fire, and use the natural properties of green wood to create beautiful solid joints to hold the chair together without the need for nails or glue. Seats can be woven from Danish cord or natural Coir cord.
Breakfast, lunch, tea, coffee and biscuits are included in the course fee, the evening meal is not included as some people may not be staying on site overnight. For the evening meal, everyone who is staying in the woods is welcome to put some money into a kitty and we will cook communally and enjoy our meals together.
