Nature has so many plants that can be woven such as horseradish, nettles, tree bark, bramble, iris

We will use a base of willow bark to make our basket and I will take you through how to coppice willow poles and how to process the bark ready for weaving. The rim will be made from split Hazel and the handle can be wood or plaited plant material.
We will also look at how to identify and process fibres from a multitude of plants and how to prepare them for our basket, we will also learn how to make cordage from the plant materials for
weaving.
