Learn about the amazing versatility of tree bark and plant fibres on this 2 day course and weave
yourself a beautiful, functional foraging basket.
On this course we will delve into the abundance of materials that are all around us.
Nature has so many plants that can be woven such as horseradish, nettles, tree bark, bramble, iris
leaves, dandelion stems and so many more.
We will use a base of willow bark to make our basket and I will take you through how to coppice willow poles and how to process the bark ready for weaving. The rim will be made from split Hazel and the handle can be wood or plaited plant material.
We will also look at how to identify and process fibres from a multitude of plants and how to prepare them for our basket, we will also learn how to make cordage from the plant materials for

There is plenty of camping space and places to park small campervans. We have a hot shower and compost toilet on site.
